At Yolbil Turizm safety goes beyond regulatory compliance; it is a corporate culture. Below we summarise the main measures we apply for our passengers' safety.
Vehicle maintenance
- A 42-point pre-departure checklist before every service
- Periodic maintenance every 20,000 km and brake and suspension tests twice a year
- Tyre life is limited to five years or a tread depth of 3 mm
- Fire suppression system and an emergency exit drill once a year
Driver selection and training
Our drivers are chosen from people holding SRC-2 and psychotechnical certificates with at least seven years of experience. They receive advanced driving, first aid and crisis management training twice a year. Two drivers are assigned to journeys over four hours and mandatory rest breaks are monitored through tachograph data.
Passenger safety
All seats have three-point seat belts and belt use is reminded by voice alerts. Fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, emergency hammers and exit signs are standard in the vehicles. In an unusual situation the central operations room calls the vehicle immediately.
Certificates and audits
Our company holds ISO 9001 quality and ISO 39001 road traffic safety management systems. In addition to the annual inspection, vehicles are independently checked every three months by the internal audit team; results are reported to the board.
